On December 17, 2022, Rosscarrock Community Association brought their neighbourhood together with a winter gathering place featuring a fire pit and benches. With the help of Vincent Massey Junior High School’s grade 7, 8 and 9 students, four benches and a fire storage box were created. The first community gathering took place on December 27 where the community came together to roast marshmallows, drank hot chocolate and enjoyed the new gathering place. Starting January 13, the community plans to continue hosting community fires on a weekly basis.
