The Alex Community Health Centre noticed that mobility challenges needed to be addressed, so they decided to organize a committee and do just that by filming a video. Mobility challenges are those faced by people who have a harder time getting around, like people who are in a wheelchair or use a walker. The video not only addresses mobility challenges but also helps to “build incredible capacity for numerous skills among the participants, including editing and photography” says the organizer.

The ActivateYYC grant was used to purchase items for the video, as well as items for the viewing party. The organizers also note that without ActivateYYC, the video would not have been created and the story would not have been told.
