In the fall of 2018, Bonavista Downs Community Association added two Little Free Libraries to the community. After advertising the libraries in August, volunteers stepped up to have the libraries up and ready to go in November 2018. The best part of the entire project was how willing neighbours were to volunteer, say the organizer. Families expressed their excitement for the project, so the organizers knew the Little Libraries were a good idea.

Youth Central generously donated the Little Free Libraries to The Federation of Calgary Communities, who then donated the libraries to community associations. So a big thank you to Youth Central! Since the libraries were donated, the ActivateYYC funds went towards paint, posts, and advertising for the libraries.
