In 2019, the Bonavista Downs Community Association was determined to add value to their community. Originally, the team had planned to construct a wooden deck platform to create a public meeting space for community members. However, due to constraints and city policy, this idea was reinvented. After working with the Parks Department, the project turned into an activation that included the installation of art pieces along the pre-existing disc golf course and the installation of a central wayfinding sign that identified many of the great amenities around Bonavista Downs.

On December 5, 2019, after months of planning with the Parks Department and even after encountering several roadblocks, the team installed the wayfinding sign and ensured it was a massive success. Feedback from the community has been great so far and the Bonavista Downs Community Association can rest easy knowing that they made a difference in their community!
