The Ramsay Community Association brought together and hosted four garden themed workshops for Ramsay residents throughout the summer. This was able to engage many members of our community from children to adults and offered different levels of engagement between members and nature. One of these family friendly workshops was focused on the role of insects and pollinators in your garden where kids were given butterfly nets and containers to run around and catch insects. Once captured, our expert identified the critters and got the kids engaged in the biology of each. This created a fun and engaging learning environment for the whole family!
This event brought two volunteers and 15 families together in the community of Ramsay to learn and have fun while highlighting the friendliness of their fellow Ramsay residents!
