To help improve and beautify the space around their community – and encourage walking at the same time – Annie Foote put on an ‘Annie Foote Cares’ day in early September. 450 Annie Foote students helped to pick up trash from the community and around the school, and also learned new games to play outside on the painted pavement lines on the pavement.

The $700 that they received from ActivateYYC was used to purchase water bottles and food to keep the students energized as they walked through the community. As they moved, pedometers tracked the students’ steps and encouraged them to keep living a healthy life!
