It was a parking lot party on August 18^th, 2018 at the Edmonton Trail Day event! The Renfrew Community Association transformed four regular parking spaces along Edmonton Trail into an awesome area for neighbours. The parklet was built and set up for one day to help promote the businesses in Renfrew and to remind people to get out and have fun with their neighbours. By the end of the event, over 200 people had used the parklet, which is an awesome number considering how smoky the air was.

This event required close communication with The City of Calgary, as many departments needed to be involved. The $1500 ActivateYYC grant went towards the permits needed to host the event, as well as promotional materials needed to spread the word to neighbours!
