Killarney Glengarry Community Association (@kgca.yyc) received an ActivateYYC Grant to create more seating across their neighbourhood parks spaces. They were able to benefit from a generous discount from the local RONA, to secure the materials for 6 adirondack chairs and 2 picnic tables. The tables and chairs saw immediate use, hosting family picnics and allowing places for people to rest and enjoy their community in a new way. The community association also created stickers featuring their logo and a QR code leading people to their website to bolster engagement within the community.

This project was inspired by a the 2022 #SECAchairs project led by @thisisyourseca. Seating is such a simple yet effective way to increase comfort and use of your community spaces.
