The Whitehorn Community Association brought together over 100 community members for a barbecue, painting and a pop-up concert! The idea was to engage the community and build connections with the added bonus of being able to express creativity and individuality through art. When you hear, “Mom I can draw what I want and get paint on my clothes,” and the mother says “Yes!” you know your event is a success. With a grant of $1,060.96 from ActivateYYC and 10 volunteers, this event successfully brought together the Whitehorn Community in a fun and engaging way.
