Have you been to Strathcona park lately? If so, you may have noticed a few upgrades! Strathcona Christie Aspen (SCA) Community Association worked through the summer of 2018 to plant shrubs and flowers, control weeds, and fix and paint the gate to the park.

The organizers knew they were on to something great when a community member told them that the flowers brought her joy when she walked by. The ActivateYYC grant was used to purchase materials needed for the revitalization. No permits were required, but the SCA Community Association worked with The City to get approval for the project.
