Homespace Society received an ActivateYYC grant to brighten up a courtyard within their Norris House property, in the community of Seton. The inner space was heavily used by children from the homes, riding their bikes, scooters, and playing soccer on the greenspace. Homespace wanted to ensure that the area was safe to use for children, and reflected the joy they brought to the place. They brought together volunteers from Homespace, Rumi, UrbanCSA, and residents from the buildings, in order to add bright crosswalks, road thinning traffic calming measures, and polka dots hand printed with hands of children living in the complex.
