Glendale Craft Fair

Glendale Craft Fair

When Glendale/Glendale Meadows Community Association applied for ActivateYYC, their goal was to show their community hall in a new and different light, as it is typically used for a limited number of purposes. Using the $750 microgrant received from ActivateYYC and the donation of the hall space, Glendale was about to coordinate the first ever craft fair at the community hall! Around 22 vendors and 75 patrons attended the event in November, and Boy Scouts and Girl Guides were also present to help out and volunteer.

While the City of Calgary was not needed for permits for this event, the organizers praised the City’s helpfulness on providing information and insights on resident feedback, as well as highlighting what grants are available to help out communities – such as ActivateYYC!
